Honeywell's new Edge Network controller
Date:2023-01-06        Hits:296        Back
Shanghai, China, January 5, 2023 -- Honeywell (NASDAQ: HON) has officially launched ECC200 Edge Network Controller, a compact, high-performance embedded programmable controller, which made its debut at the 5th CIIE. The ECC200 edge network controller can be widely used in newly built or renovated intelligent buildings, such as commercial complex, office building, data center, public facilities, industrial, medical, and hotel systems to manage and control the subsystems of HVAC, lighting, water supply and drainage control, power supply and distribution, helping you achieve intelligent, secure, and efficient management of buildings.

"At present, carbon reduction in the construction sector has become an important part of achieving the goal of 'two-carbon'. Honeywell adheres to the development strategy of 'East serves East', based on local innovation, and actively promotes the upgrading and transformation of China's construction industry." Yu Feng, president of Honeywell China, said, "The ECC200 edge network controller released this time will provide building operation managers with more efficient and comprehensive smart building solutions, and help China's building industry realize the sustainable strategy of carbon dual control."

BEATs (Building Edge Advance Technologies) is Honeywell's smart building low-carbon solution for building energy saving and digital transformation based on the Internet of Things architecture under the national two-carbon strategy. ECC200 edge network controller, a new member of BEATs family, launched this time, is a localized product developed and produced by Honeywell based on its profound strength in the global control field and targeted at the demand of the Chinese market. It will bring better user experience from multiple dimensions such as security, practicality, product performance and architecture flexibility.

The ECC200 edge network controller can collect and analyze data from intelligent terminal sensing devices to determine the potential energy saving space of the building, and dynamically adjust the operation control strategy through logical construction to achieve energy saving and carbon reduction of the building through data management, control and optimization, and realize the autonomy of the edge side from the architecture. Combined with Honeywell's smart building energy management platform, building automation software, intelligent terminal sensing and actuators and other products, the company provides users with comprehensive closed-loop management solutions for building perception, connection, collaboration and control.

In addition, the ECC200 edge network controller can be seamlessly connected to the Honeywell Carbon dual control and smart building operation management platform, thus introducing more professional building operation and maintenance expert database analysis, artificial intelligence algorithm to achieve predictive maintenance of equipment, and according to the big data load prediction to achieve accurate energy saving control of HVAC, intelligent lighting and other systems. The sustainable and complete closed loop of carbon dual control can be realized by means of cloud edge collaboration.

Honeywell has long been committed to the sustainable development and digital transformation in the field of intelligent buildings, and has proposed a one-stop end-to-end solution of hardware and software integration, strong and weak electricity integration, cloud edge integration, to achieve indoor environment comfort, health and safety with scientific and technological means, and help achieve "non-inductive intelligent" environmental experience. In the future, Honeywell will continue to promote the application of Internet of Things technology in smart buildings from the three aspects of software, hardware and services, to create more easy-to-use standardized general solutions, to help building owners create a more healthy, safe and sustainable building environment, while taking into account operational efficiency, enabling sustainable building development.
